My name is Matt Tuteur. I’m a Chicago based photographer and Chicago native. I began taking photos in 1995 with a 35mm camera. Soon after, I Became overwhelmed with an interest in documenting Chicago’s street art. In my search to find and document Graffiti/Street Art, I spent many days walking Chicago’s streets. In doing so, I exposed myself to countless significant events and local happenings. From headline news, to neighborhood events and crime, to anything I feel represents Chicago through the times were living in, I strive to photograph and document all aspects of Chicago’s rich cultural heritage. I feel my photographs uniquely depict the city of Chicago in its true light. They provide a voice for the Chicagoans that cant speak for themselves and exist to remind us of our unique past, present and future.
